Alan James Notte

North Augusta, SC…….Alan James Notte, age 58, passed away on February 5, 2023 surrounded by his loved ones. Alan was affectionately known as “Big Al.” He was born in Tonawanda, New York on June 7, 1964 to the late Louis Anthony Notte and Natalie Bartolo Notte. 

In 1986, he moved to Hilton Head, SC. Al worked in the food and beverage industry and made many lifelong friends. In 2013 he moved to the Augusta area and began working in the automotive industry, where he once again made many important friends. 

Some of Big Al’s favorite times in his life were coaching on the baseball diamond. He always wore his heart on his sleeve, and his favorite quote was, “Play with heart.”

In addition to his parents, Al was preceded in death by a brother, Dave Notte, and a sister, Kathleen Notte. 

He is survived by his son, Anthony Notte; Anthony’s girlfriend, Jennifer Breland, and her daughter, Eleanor Breland; by his partner, Sherrie Boozer; by a brother, John Notte; and by many nieces, nephews, and godchildren. 

The family will receive friends at Rowland-Ford Funeral Home on Saturday, February 11 from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m., and again on Sunday, February 12 at 12:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held in the Rowland-Ford Funeral Home Chapel on Sunday, February 12 at 1:00 p.m., Nick Vertucci officiating.
