Aiken, SC……. Addisynn Taylor Widener, age 5, has gained her angel wings.
She was born in Augusta, GA on August 18, 2020 to Stacy and Caitlyn Widener. Addisynn, or “sassy pants,” or “punkin’” loved playing with toys, going to the park, going shopping, singing, and just being with family. She also loved church, and she always said that one day she wanted to be a preacher. Her determination to fight has always been clear, having survived a kidney transplant May 17, 2024 and continuing to be brave in the face of adversity until Jesus called her home.
Awaiting Addisynn in Heaven are her great-grandmother, Vera Juanita Nix, and her great-grandparents, James and Margaret Widener. Left to cherish her memory are her parents, Stacy and Caitlyn Widener; her brother, Will Widener (Dana); her sisters, Emilee Widener (Cam) and Aubree Widener; her great-grandpa, W. C. Nix; her grandparents, Thomas Rossi (Andrea) and Barbara Stoll (Mike); her aunt, Felicia Barfield (Chris); her uncle, Reggie Widener (Stephanie); and the family dog, "Auntie's Buddy," McConkey; and many cousins, extended family, and friends that loved her very much.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, March 19, 2026 at 2:00 PM in the J. M. Ford Funeral Chapel with Pastor Henry Harnage officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12:00-2:00 PM. Interment in Pineview Memorial Gardens will follow.
Pallbearers will be Will Widener, Cam Taylor, Jeremy Johnson, Jr., Matthew Johnson, Tre Barfield, Ashten Perez, and Colin Johnson.
