William A. "Bill" Haynes

North Augusta, SC…… Mr. William A. “Bill” Haynes, 70, husband of Barbara H. Haynes, of Robinson Drive, entered into rest on Thursday, February 8, 2018 at Doctors Hospital.

 

A Celebration of Life service will be held at 4:00 PM on Sunday, February 11, 2018 at Big Stevens Creek Baptist Church with Rev. Skip Meyers and Rev. Eric Bruton officiating.

 

Bill retired from E-Z-Go Textron as the 2nd Shift Superintendent with over 30 years. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping, and working with his hands. He called himself a “Resource Reallocation Expert.” Bill was a yard fanatic and the neighbors would call and say “A leaf has fallen down onto your grass,” just to let him know. He was a dedicated member of Big Stevens Creek Baptist Church. Bill never met a stranger. Of his 9 siblings he was the middle child. Though he had 2 children of his own, he willingly stepped into a fatherly role for many others. 

 

Additional survivors include his daughters, Michele Annette Haynes and Angela Haynes Merchant and her husband James; one brother, Richard Haynes; four sisters, Frances Jackson, Martha Cox, Edna Muhar, and Laura Pardue; one incredible grandson, Jake Daniel Merchant; a host of nieces and nephews; two sisters-in-law, Betty Croy and Lynne Herlihy; and one brother-in-law, Edward Herlihy. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles W. and Mary G. Haynes; and James Haynes

 

Honorary Pallbearers will be Richard Haynes, Bill Bearden, Ken Alexander, Greg Shouse, Evan Croy, Chris Thatcher, Richard Groggs, Chad Bearden, and Drew Wikander.
