Sandra Kilgore

November 27, 1975 ~ June 25, 2019 (age 43)

North Augusta, SC…………..Mrs. Sandra Kilgore, 43, wife of 25 years to John E. Kilgore, entered into rest on Tuesday, June 25, 2019 at her residence.

Her funeral service will be held at 12 noon on Saturday, June 29, 2019 in the Rowland-Ford Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor German Calderon officiating. Interment will be private.

Sandra was born in Mexico on November 27, 1975. She and her family moved from Mexico to Alabama in 1999 before making North Augusta her home in 2009. She was outgoing, friendly, kept her sense of humor and ability to make people laugh, even through her illness, and had a beautiful smile that will be remembered by all. She was easy to talk to and was an excellent listener. Never meeting a stranger, she was trusted by many and gave trust in return. Sandra was quite the conversationalist and constantly on the phone, often switching from one call to another and forgetting that she had left someone on hold. She would regularly have to call people back the next day and tell them what had happened. Gossiping on the phone was one of her favorite hobbies. In addition to the constant phone conversations, Sandra was known to have the radio on in the background even while on the phone. This, coupled with John having his radio on and the children yelling across the house made for a home that was never quiet. Her home was also a place where projects were constantly being done. She loved to shop and redesign the interior of her house. Mondays were her cleaning day and she let nothing get in the way of keeping her immaculate home. Minivans were her favorite vehicle and she drove them like a sports car. Even when her children were grown, she continued to drive her minivans. She loved going out for tacos but never left her house without her nails done and her red lipstick on. Mexico, Alabama, and Orlando, FL were some of her favorite vacation spots. While in Alabama, nightly walks around the neighborhood pond were one of her favorite pastimes. When Halloween was over, she immediately began decorating for Christmas. Trees were set up in every room of the house, each with different themes. She was a very family oriented person always making sure her family stayed together, even through difficulties.

She is survived by her children, Patsy, John and Kay; two brothers; two sisters; and her grandchild, Bentley.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, June 28, 2019 from 7:00 PM until 9:00 PM and one hour prior to the service on Saturday.
