Robert W. "Bobby" Tinsley, Jr.

North Augusta, SC……..Mr. Robert W. “Bobby” Tinsley, Jr., 64, entered into rest on Friday, July 20, 2018 at University Hospital.

His funeral service will be held at 3:00 PM on Sunday, July 22, 2018 in the Rowland-Ford Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. R. Larry Brown officiating. Interment will be in Pineview Memorial Gardens.

Bobby was a lifelong resident of North Augusta. He graduated from North Augusta High School in 1973 and was a star halfback for the Yellow Jackets. He enjoyed archery, NASCAR, Miami Dolphins football, fast cars and fish. His love of fish was evidenced in his 700 gallon freshwater aquarium. He had an immense love for his father and his children, always being there for all even when he was in declining health. A faithful member of Victory Baptist Church, Bobby was active in the jail ministry and often visited children in the hospital. He was a mechanic at Bobby’s Garage for 14 years before opening The Lighthouse Christian Bookstore which was a great point of pride for him.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Bobby and Aileen Tinsley as well as his brother Billy Fowler.

Survivors include his daughter, Amy Tinsley; his son, Travis Tinsley (Amanda Baker) and their daughter, Brianna Baker; his granddaughter, Madison Phillips; three sisters, Janice Harn (Michael), Edna Tinsley (Tim) and Sherry Icenhower (Doyle).

Pallbearers will be Acie Cain, Tom Langley, Jerry Hadden, John Neumar and Travis Tinsley.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.
