Martha Francis Hill Lollis

Martha Francis Hill Lollis, 90, of Lexington, South Carolina returned home to her Father God on Oct 9, 2017, at her residence she shared with her daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Walt Reece. She was formerly of Augusta, GA and North Augusta, SC and was born March 24, 1927 in Belton, SC. She is predeceased by her parents, Hoyt T. and Mettie S. Hill of Belton, SC and her late husband of 54 years, Dorris Asa Lollis of Honea Path, SC.
Martha was a long time active member of Bayvale Baptist Church in Augusta, GA, where she taught Sunday school for many years. Her passion was music and she was a member of the choir, where she regularly sang solos. She also worked diligently with the women’s missions, including sewing hundreds of bears that were sent to orphan children abroad. She was a military wife and raised her five children almost alone, as her husband served in three wars.  She was a professional seamstress and a supervisor where military uniforms were manufactured.  
Survivors include one son and four daughters, Michael D. (Mickey C.)  Lollis of Hephzibah, GA, Linda L. (Walter G.) Reece of Lexington, SC, Donna L. (Gary B.) Neverla of Columbia, SC, Joan L. Griffin of Augusta, GA,  and Judy L. Scott of North Augusta, SC. Martha and Dorris also left a legacy of 11 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandsons. Pallbearers will be grandsons, Garrett Neverla, Matthew Srygley, Stark Anfin and Justin Corrao and great grandsons, Zack Mason and Elijah Mason. 
A celebration of life will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, October 14, 2017 at the Rowland-Ford Funeral Home Chapel officiated by John Donohue. Interment will follow at Sunset Memory Gardens. 
The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.
