John Stephen William Gerard Donahue

John Stephen William Gerard Donahue, 90, peacefully passed away at his home in Augusta, Georgia on February 21, 2018 surrounded by his family and loved ones.

There will be a mass celebrating John’s life at St. Mary on the Hill Catholic Church on Friday, February 23, 2018, at 2:00pm. Following the mass, the family will have visitation at Rowland-Ford Funeral Home in North Augusta, South Carolina from 4:00 until 6:00pm.

Born December 15,1927 in Queens, New York, he was the son of the late Ellen A. and Stephen E. Donahue. He had one sister, the late Faith M. Keating.

He is survived by his three children; his son, Mark S. Donahue of Augusta, Georgia; his oldest daughter, Faith E. Marsingill of Augusta, Georgia; his youngest daughter, Lisa A. D’acunti of Florida; and his four grandchildren, Brendon, Chloe, Michael, and Samantha.

John loved to collect model trains, build model airplanes and ships; as well as being an avid pheasant and deer hunter when he lived in New York. John and his late wife, Lee R. Donahue, moved from Long Island, New York to Augusta, Georgia 28 years ago where John came to work for his son, Mark in the construction business.

Friends may call on the family at the home of Mark Donahue.
