North Augusta, SC... Mrs. Joanne Grimaud Yarbrough, 87, wife of the late William Malcolm Yarbrough, entered into rest on Tuesday, October 23, 2018 at National Healthcare.
Her celebration of life will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, October 27, 2018 in the Rowland-Ford Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Mark Sterling and Rev. Sherrell Dunn officiating. Interment will follow at Pineview Memorial Gardens.
Joanne, daughter of the late Joseph A. Grimaud and Annie Martin Grimaud, was a native of Augusta, GA, and made her home for 67 years in North Augusta, SC. She retired from Barton & Barton Contracting in 2005, after 34 years as Bookkeeper. She attended Curtis Baptist Church, where she loved teaching 1st Grade Sunday School and singing in the Adult Choir for many years. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother, and loved to travel with her family. Her greatest desire was for all of her family to know her Jesus.
She was preceded in death by her great granddaughter, Ashlynn Weeks, her brother, Louis A. Grimaud, and her sister, Peggy G. Scott.
She is survived by her 4 daughters, Beth Hendrix (Ed), Anne Todd (Doug), Fran Weikle (Louis) all of North Augusta, and Ellen Parker (Keith) of Beaufort, SC; 7 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren and her brothers, Joe Grimaud, Jr. and Billy Grimaud.
Pallbearers will be grandsons, Justin Hendrix, Chris Todd, Bruce Parker, Will Weikle, Kenneth Weikle, and Aaron Weeks.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.
The family would like to thank all of her caregivers at National Healthcare for their excellent care and love over the last 8 years.
