North Augusta, SC… Mrs. Jean Hyder Carroll, 76, wife the late Ronald Carroll, entered into rest on Tuesday, May 29, 2018 at her residence.
Her memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 9, 2018 at 2:00 PM in the Rowland-Ford Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Nick Carnes officiating.
Jean loved family, she was 1 of 14 children born in the mountains of Tennessee. She married and moved to South Carolina in 1966. She was a full time wife and stay at home mother of 4, she devoted every waking moment and thought to her husband and children’s needs. She was very involved in her children’s lives and did her best to set an example of the kind of mother God would have her to be. She and her family were active in church and did what they could to help others. She enjoyed her grands and great grands. She loved to sew, cook and craft. She lost her husband of 60 years to cancer last year. To her family she was a great example of a Godly wife and mother. She will be greatly missed.
Survivors include a son, Michael Carroll; three daughters, Elaine Barrett, Robin Lanham and Renee Bell; 10 grandchildren, Nicki Carnes, Beth Johnston, Curt Barnes, Brooks Lanham, Bryan Lanham, Mandy Copeland, Cody Barnes, James Bell, Victoria Bell and Kensey Barrett; 9 great grandchildren, Gavin Carnes, Tristan Carnes, Hailey Carnes, Ashton Copeland, Clayton Copeland, Curtis Barnes, Caroline Barnes, Trent Lanham and Evan Lanham.
The family will receive friends at Rowland-Ford Funeral Home one hour prior the service.
