George B. Hays, Jr.

North Augusta, SC…… Mr. George B. Hays, Jr., 85, husband of 41 years to the late Doris Mace Hays, entered into rest on Monday, March 12, 2018 at University Hospital.

 

His funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, March 15, 2018 in the Rowland-Ford Funeral Home Chapel with Mr. Jonathan Kilpatrick officiating. Interment will follow in Pineview Memorial Gardens. 

 

Mr. Hays retired from International Paper with over 30 years of service. He was a member of Grace United Methodist Church and The American Legion Post 71. An avid outdoorsman, he loved to hunt, fish and spend time at the family house at Clarks Hill. 

 

Survivors include his sons Steve Hays and Larry Hays (Sandra) both of Edgefield; a stepson, Jim Browning (Tina) of Oak Ridge, TN; two stepdaughters, Debbie Grimes (Charles) of Clearwater and Susan Seigler (Bill) of North Augusta; fifteen grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren and four great great grandchildren. He was predeceased by a daughter, Debra Gordon.

 

The family will receive friends at Rowland-Ford Funeral Home Wednesday, March 14, 2018 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
