Fred A. Jennings

Mr. Fred Aubrey Jennings, 84, husband of 57 years to the late Jeanne Jennings, entered into rest on Wednesday, December 19, 2018 at National Healthcare.

His funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, December 22, 2018 in the Rowland-Ford Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Roy L. Head officiating. Entombment will be in the Pineview Memorial Gardens Mausoleum.

Mr. Jennings born in Muskogee, OK and had made North Augusta his home for the last 62 years. He was a member of Belvedere First Baptist Church. A graduate of Richmond Academy, Mr. Jennings worked many years for the E.I. DuPont Company at SRS as a health physicist and safety engineer. Following his retirement, he served as the Civil Defense Director of Aiken County. He will be remembered as a good father and husband. He was an excellent handyman. He loved photography, stamp collecting, playing bridge, square dancing and flying.

Survivors include his sons, Gregg Jennings (Brenda) of North Augusta and Kenneth Jennings (Lori) of Clarksville, GA; a daughter, Denise Swygert of North Augusta; two sisters, Nancy Shaver and Jane Pavelka; three grandchildren, Jacob Jennings, Brooke Jennings and Nicole Swygert and four great grandchildren, Paige Jennings, Cora Jennings, Kyron Williams and Owen Jennings.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
