My condolences to the Mays family. My late husband, Enman Threatt, had the opportunity to be an employee of Mr. Mays' after closing his business. Enman had experience working on gasoline powered "big" trucks but was afforded the opportunity to learn to work on diesel ones. Enman stayed at Mays International Trucks until his retirement in 1999 at which time a nice retirement party was given in his honor. There is so much in life to be helpful for and Mr. Mays involvement in ours was a blessing.

My condolences go out to members of my family—my first cousin Harold Mays's family—for the passing of a wonderful person. It has been many years since I have had direct contact with Harold, but I have felt the connection always. Hope Mays Arnold has kept me in touch. Just looking at Harold's obituary photograph, I see his resemblance to his father, my Uncle Floyd, my mother's older brother. As a child, I spent many happy times in the home of Uncle Floyd and Aunt Kathleen in Louisville, Ga. Harold was older than I and already out of the nest when I was there, but I always looked up to him. I send love and blessings of peace to all who loved Harold.

My heartfelt condolences for your loss. Many can relate to what it feels like to be touched by death. What has helped my family to cope were scriptures such as John 5:28,29; Revelation 21:3,4; 1 Peter 5:7. Reading and thinking on these scriptures can help to bring you comfort and strength in the weeks and months to come. Knowing that our loving heavenly Father understands and cares about what you're going through can be a real source of strength. May the God of comfort, comfort you as you mourn the loss of your dear loved one.

Our Deepest sympathies on the loss of Mr. Mays. I worked for him at Mays International for 8 yrs and came to think of him as family. He was always there for me, my husband and son. I'l never forget when he handed me money to help me get home for my dad's funeral or when he ensured that I would be taken care of when I was going through Chemo for my Breast Cancer. He will be truly missed .
