Dan Lederle Myers, Jr.

Augusta, GA… Dan Lederle Myers, Jr. passed away at the age of 76, surrounded by his family, on February 3, 2018, in Augusta, Georgia. 

 

Dan was born on January 21, 1942 in Jacksonville, Florida. Dan’s parents, Dan Lederle Myers and Louise Game Myers predeceased him. Dan moved with his family to Tampa, Florida when he was 4 years old and always maintained a residence in Tampa until his passing. 

 

After graduating from Plant High School in 1960, he enlisted in the Army Reserves. Soon after he enlisted in the Army Reserves, Dan worked with his father and together built Purity Springs Water Company into a successful enterprise. After selling this business in the 1980’s, Dan worked with his brother and lent his talents and wisdom in developing another fledgling business in Tampa, Palma Ceia Storage, Inc. 

 

He was an avid deer hunter but seemed content to just enjoy being in the outdoors with his friends...even when Bambi and the others won the day. Dan had a strong faith in God, reinforced by witnessing many miracles over the years and being the recipient of more than few himself. 

 

Dan is survived by his wife, Julianna; his daughter Amy Young (Rodney); his son, Christopher Myers (Alexa); he is also survived by his grandchildren Ean Myers, Isabelle Myers, Adaline Myers and Casie Crawford (Hunter) and his great grandchild Scarlette Crawford; his brother, Clifford Game Myers (Georgia); his nieces Lynn Kelyman (Scott) and Shannon Burnett (Roy); his grand nephew and nieces Caroline Kelyman, Jenna Gray Burnett and Callen Burnett. 

 

A private memorial gathering for the family will be held.
