Martinez, GA………..Mr. Maurice Gerald Cook, 78, husband of Janet F. Cook, entered into rest March 2, 2010 at Doctors Hospital.
His memorial service will be held at 2:00pm on Saturday, March 6, 2010 in the Rowland Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. James M. Ford and Pastor Bill Hilley officiating. Interment will be private.
Mr. Cook was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He was a U.S. Army veteran having served in Korea and Vietnam. Mr. Cook touched many lives and had a strong Faith in his Lord. Soul winning was always his top priority and he considered his Christian service to be the most important service of all.
Additional survivors include two sons, Jeffrey Cook of Martinez and Joseph Cook (Angie) of Vacaville, CA; three daughters, Carol Poston (Mike) of Grovetown, Leslie Posey of Martinez and April Wilkerson (David) of Evans; a brother Roland Cook (Juanita); a sister Connie Smethers; eight grandchildren, Chelsea Purks, Lori Varner, Rene Lane, Audrey Posey, Rebekah Posey, Joseph Posey, Emily Wilkerson and Jacob Wilkerson; four great grandchildren, Raven Lane, Hunter Lane, Madison Lane and Baylee Lane. He was preceded in death by a son, Maurice Gerald Cook, Jr.
