Phillip Allen Moyer

Mr. Phillip Allen Moyer entered into rest at his residence on April 14, 2024. 

He was born in Aiken on November 25, 1952 to the late Clarence Alton “Al” Moyer and Betty Chapman George.

Allen was born and raised in Aiken, and was a graduate of Aiken High School and the University of South Carolina. Friends will recall the ski trips he organized during his school years. Allen had made his home in Hilton Head for the last thirty years, working in the real estate and vacation rental business. Allen enjoyed sailing, boating, scuba diving, jet skiing, watching golf, and was an avid shrimper.

He was a devoted son, and he adored his nieces and their children and families. He truly loved his friends, who were like family.

In addition to his parents, Allen was preceded in death by his brother, Steven Andrew Tolson.

Left to cherish Allen’s memory are his mother and father, Magdalene Spoon Moyer and Robert George; his sister, Beverly Thompson (Ron); his nieces, Angela Cuzmar (Jorge) and Betheny Adair (Matt); and his great-nephews and niece, DJ, Ryan, Bryce, Emory, Everitt, and Emelia.   

Services will be held on Thursday, April 18 at 3:00 PM in the Rowland-Ford Funeral Home Chapel (officiant). The family will receive friends at the funeral home for one hour prior to the service. Interment in Pineview Memorial Gardens will follow. 

Pallbearers will be: Jorge Cuzmar, DJ Cuzmar, Ryan Cuzmar, Bryce Cuzmar, Matthew Adair, and Emory Adair.
